A stunning example of this rare type of canteen in piggy-back style. Leather is supple with very minor scuffing, stitching excellent and secure. Flask and sandwich case fit snugly into two lined compartments. The flask is slightly dished with a few light scratches, the sandwich case in near perfect condition. Probably made in late C19th, early C20th and been hardly used ever since.
